University Alumni Rankings of the Wealthy and Influential 2025

"Which universities are known for producing the wealthiest graduates? Which industries are most common among wealthy alumni, and what drives them to support their alma mater?" - This report explores the universities with the most ultra wealthy alumni and senior executives at the world’s largest companies.

Engaging wealthy and philanthropic alumni allows institutions to create lasting impact in education and society. Universities often have a far-reaching network of professional and personal connections to influential alumni and decision-makers. Effectively leveraging these relationships is key to successful alumni engagement and fundraising strategies.

I supported this analysis by organizing and structuring three unique datasets: one containing the world’s most extensive collection of curated research on the wealthy, another covering board and non-board members, C-suite executives, senior leaders, and professional advisers, and a third, we mapped the relationships between influential decision-makers to analyze the connections between universities and their prominent alumni.

North America remains the world’s leading billionaire region, home to more than one in three of the globe’s 3,500+ billionaires.

Billionaire Census 2025

"How many billionaires are there in the world? How much wealth do billionaires have? Where do they live?"

For anyone working with UHNW clients, understanding where wealth is concentrated and how it’s shifting globally is key to anticipating opportunity and tailoring a data-driven strategy.

This report offers a comprehensive overview and deliver clear insights into the global billionaire population — its size, composition, key characteristics, and how their geographical presence is shifting over time.

A few findings:

- The global billionaire population grew by 5.6% in 2024 to reach a new high of 3,508 individuals
- 26 ‘super billionaires’ account for a combined 21% of total billionaire wealth, up from just 4% a decade ago

The report generated strong media interest and led to multiple press collaborations, attracting considerable attention from journalists at major outlets such as The Wall Street Journal and Germany’s Die Zeit.

For this analysis, we leveraged Altrata’s proprietary wealth database, the world’s largest curated collection of information on high-net-worth individuals. The database provided insights into their financial profiles, careers, networks, family backgrounds, education, philanthropic activities, and interests, enabling a detailed and data-driven examination

World Ultra Wealthy Report 2025

Having insight into the global ultra-wealthy population—its size, distribution, and changing trends—is crucial for industries such as financial services, luxury goods, real estate, and nonprofits, which rely on connecting with the world’s most influential clients and supporters.

By forecasts there will be 676,970 UHNW individuals worldwide, a 31% increase from today. That’s an additional 166,000+ people with wealth exceeding $30 million, reshaping where influence, investment and opportunity are concentrated.

This report offers strategic insight into where today’s ultra wealthy individuals live and invest in real estate. Ultra high-net-worth individuals are increasingly mobile, with their property ownership reflecting this trend from cities like Aspen to Abu Dhabi.
